Fraksiyonel lazer ışınları ile derinin sıcaklığı artırılıp buharlaşma sağlanarak derinin en üst tabakası soyulmaktadır. İyileşme, lazer uygulanan bölgenin çevresindeki hasar görmemiş hücrelerin çoğalması, fibroblastların uyarılması ve sonuçta kollajen sentezinin tetiklenmesi ile olur.

Uygulama 30-40 dakika kadar sürmektedir. Uygulama boyunca özel soğutma kullanıldığı için hasta ağrı duymaz. Uygulama sonunda ciltte hafif bir kızarıklık ve yanma olur. Uygulamadan 2-3 sonra cilt rengi hafif kahverengiye döner ve 5-6. günlerde ince bir kabuklanma ile soyulma başlar. Bir hafta sonunda cilt normal durumuna döner.

Uygulamadan sonra cilt güneşten koruyucu sürülerek korunmalıdır. Uygulama aralıkları 3-4 hafta olmalıdır. Cilt izlerinin şiddetine göre seans sayısı 3-6 arasında değişmektedir.
